I was born to be an artist. In my current job, I work as a self-employed photographer and author, and make my living writing books and traveling the world with my camera. I started working with ceramics because I wanted to create dishes to use with my food photographs, and it quickly grew into much more than a side hobby. I now work in my studio daily creating beautiful, minimalistic, functional dishes and small ceramic pieces.

All of my pieces are 100% handmade, built from clay slabs and textured using bisque stamps and other elements. I use mid-fire clay (mostly stoneware) and decorate with food-safe glazes and materials. I then fire them in an electric kiln to vitrification (which makes the clay food-safe and water-tight).
